Ummm... how to put this? This isn't a commission
About say -- 4 months ago, I put aside some possible game/commission monies and picked up a Wacom Bamboo Tablet for reasons of curiosity. It's true I haven't been much a stranger to drawing, but I'm on and off about it and often get frustrated with cleaning up scanned artwork. That all said and done, tablet has gotten a bit more output from me for sharing with some of my peers and it's been quite handy for a couple of other things. I will say this though: replacing nibs are a bitch. Anyway, my fascination with the tablet has superceded my desire to color for a bit, but things'll be back on track eventually.
The character was based on an old paper sketch I care not to share for errors more glaring than what you'll find here and originally the design was going to be brunette and European but she got a race lift to a Middle-Eastern (likely Lebanese, secular as hell though)/Spanish mix for the hell of it. Peers of mine *cough*
*cough* suggested a backstory or some kind of character bio but I kind of went on a whim with her. I'd likely say she'd take on some kind of liberal position like being an activist or an opinionated teacher, where I come from those types are something I see a lot really. -- tend to default on putting a majority of female Mask wearers in a sexy or revealing dress, so disregard my addiction to author appeal that fails to convey any aspect of that *crickets chirp*
Fake bg aside, a lot of red is recurring in her design. Ummm... yeah.
*hides in a corner*
