Well, The Mask is no stranger to the Nintendo universe. It's been in Pokemon a fair amount of times and so far two Princesses in Super Mario got a taste and depending on who you follow it's been in Zelda once or twice -- three if you count dudes (because durr hurr Link). So naturally it would end up in the hands of the company's mythical space amazon whose true character is under mass debate *snicker* for a number of reasons best not discussed -- although I don't think I'm doing myself any favors with the choice of title, huh?

Well anyway, screw the in universe stuff. I'm just going to point out some technical things about the picture.

-The Zero Suit in this picture is the Other M version, but the pose (and to some extent, the direction of my shading job) was specifically lifted from a Figma found here: [link]

-The background was inspired by the original Metroid -- really I just wanted to use the Glint/Sparkle brushes again. They're so beautiful and shiny

-The Mask face is a bit different -- technically true to form for the 1995 cartoon though and maybe some other artist's depictions as well. I can't help but wonder if this will influence some of SDKZero's other clients <_<

-A lot more time was spent touching up the linework a bit, with a bit of help from SDKZero. The coloring didn't take as long, surprising considering how anal retentive I am lately.
