MOAR RULE 36 MASK CROSSOVER ART LOL

*ahem*

So this time the Mask ends up in the well...interesting neighborhood of Woodcrest. It seems Granddad's date Luna (from "Attack of the Killer Kung-Fu Wolf Bitch") has curious about his historic junk he was going to sell online.
Wait...how the hell did Robert Freeman get a hold of the Mask of Loki? Oh well, no matter. Looks like this is going to be one hell of a night boys...

I know she blew herself up in the episode and all, but I thought it'd be a sweet idea forwarding the idea to Shoxxe and all.

This was the first character I saw in someone's promo for season 2, then I made a quip about her resembling that cop lady from Gargoyles. That was long ago though.

Yeah, I'm afraid I just haven't much thought for the story here kids.

But you know, as commissioner I'm pretty much free to mess around like this. Sorry to disappoint.

Though you can look forward to a story for the Ino picture which I'm currently coloring as of this post (text to be edited/retconned upon further notice).

NOTES:

-Simple color really. Again lots of cheating on the background + shadows. Truthfully I have my doubts (may have to edit later anyway), as my 10 year old CRT is burning out makes out colors darker than they should be, so I used my TV-out to double check >_<

-Almost opted not to shade but it means the Freeman's living room would look bad and you don't want that do you? *sad face*

-The reference picture was crappy, it was someone's camcorder pointed at a TV playing an episode crappy. I could have bummed my brother for his DVD copies but I took too much pride in my eyes to do so...this coming from a guy that wore glasses for 18 years. Anyway, the paintings were generic in the episode to begin with.

This must be the best piece of art Shoxxe has done. The grimacing look in her eyes attracts the wanderer. Awaiting more pieces of art like this from Shoxxe and MugenKeiji.

I always thought Shoxxe's best work were his underwater pictures. In particular, the Avatar comic and one involving Ty Lee. Ironically pieces I didn't color.

Probably not going to have anything else commissioned from the guy for a while.

Well it's not as though I've never thought of it. Really such commissions are done for twisting things around and to certain people like myself -- sex appeal.

There's a lot of characters to be "Masked" and to be honest more of the victims are chosen for their character or personality rather than their story.

So even if Lara Croft would make more sense in terms of acquiring the Mask, it's actually been considered. However it's more likely characters such as Kallen Kozuki, April O' Neil (2003 version) or Cammy White would get it first because of the lasting appeal behind their characters. So "someday" for Ms. Croft but hardly soon.

For the time being, I don't draw the art I just pitch the ideas...and color them too.

Okay one more time, I commissioned some of the drawings (others were commissioned by

) and colored them. None of them were drawn by my hand, so it's going to be a while before you see the next one. As for when I'll draw my own Mask stuff for dA, WAY too soon to tell.

Adding to that, I make out commissions based on characters me or Jokerisdaking find to be interesting. Even though I joked around about it, actually had Luna in mind for quite some time.

It's not impossible that it would happen, but not because of some social obligation or message to do so rather that the character "just happens to be". It could be interesting all the same.

Very... straightforward I see.

Anyways, glad you like it but I don't make the drawings we just pay a guy and my role is simply being one of the people that enjoys coloring his work.

It'll be quite some time until the next one (sometime in April), so sit tight, have patience and a little subtlety wouldn't hurt either ^_^;

A lot of people seem to have suggestions and ideas about the next wearer I should commission. So if you have any characters in anime/manga, games or western cartoons/comics comes to mind, go on and have your say.

I just might consider it. Or not. Depends on how interesting it is.
